The color of the leaves...so vibrantly orange and fiery red
The way the wind blows those leaves around
The rotting beach wood smell of the pavement after it rains
The gleam of the sun on the raindrops still clinging to the trees
The fun of deciding which scarf to don for the day
The sight of pumpkins on every other doorstep
The idea of cuddling up under a blanket with hot cocoa or apple cider and devouring a novel
The chance to laugh as my baby girl discovers how to yank her new pink crocheted beanie from her head
The time I spend flipping through my holiday cookbook in search of a savory soup recipe to test on my husband
The discovery of diminished daylight during my drive to work as winter nears
...and so it would seem, I LOVE the fall!
